El consejo de administración de Almirall ha aprobado el nombramiento de Peter Guenter como nuevo consejero delegado a partir del 1 de octubre siguiendo el plan de sucesión iniciado hace algo más de un año, cuando Eduardo Sanchiz expresó su deseo de dedicar más tiempo a su familia y otros intereses.
Guenter ha trabajado en Sanofi durante los últimos 22 años, recientemente como Executive Vice President Diabetes and Cardiovascualar Global Business Unit. Durante su estancia en Sanofi tuvo varios cargos ejecutivos incluyendo Vice President Eastern Europe and Northern Europe, Vice President Business Management and Support, General Manager Germany, Senior Vice President Europe, Executive Vice President Global Commercial Operations and Executive Vice President General Medicine and Emerging Markets. Anteriormente, ocupó diferentes posiciones en Ventas y Marketing en Smith Kline y Ciba Geigy.
El nuevo consejero delegado posee un Master’s Degree in Physical Education por la facultad de Medicina y Ciencias de la Salud, Universidad de Gante.
